"Finishing at Bercy is symbolic": Gilles Simon, future retiree, is already preparing for the aftermath


After Tsonga at Roland-Garros, Gilles Simon, former world No. 6, will retire at the beginning of November, at the end of the next Rolex Paris Masters. M

The adventure is coming to an end.

Gilles Simon, 37, burns his last lights on the circuit before extinguishing the light on twenty years of career at the beginning of November at the end of his 16th and last Rolex Paris Masters.

A few weeks ago, the former world No. 6, winner of 14 titles on the circuit and nicknamed "the teacher", began training as a teacher to obtain his DEJEPS sports development (State diploma, Youth , Education and Sport) mention tennis.

A course of 436 hours (236 theoretical and 200 practical) which will occupy his early retirement.

But which is not (yet?) synonymous with reconversion…
