Thomas Müller is often accused of not being an artist on the ball.

In the challenge with Jannik Freestyle, he proves the opposite - and even finds inspiration for FC Bayern's training.

Munich – In bad times, a little distraction is good.

After things aren't really going well in the Bundesliga or the national team at the moment, Thomas Müller is now showing his talents on other channels.

Because he is not only a footballer and spokesman for FC Bayern, but also very active on social media.

On Instagram, more than 11 million followers are interested in his stories, on YouTube there are over 339 subscribers.

Müller: "I can't do any tricks!"

In his video format "Da schau hi", Müller regularly meets sports stars and faces their challenges.

For example, he played table tennis with Timo Boll.

In the current episode, Müller is relatively close to his actual job: with the help of Jannik, he tries his hand at freestyle football.

Jannik Freestyle has brought along several tricks that the soccer professional from the Bayern squad is supposed to imitate.

Müller is ready for anything and immediately jokes: "You're the boss.

I don't know that many tricks.

For me, the round just has to go into the square.”

The beginning is still relatively harmless.

You can tell Müller that he doesn't really feel challenged by the first trick: He's supposed to clamp a ball between his legs, jump into the air and then catch it.

Müller's comment on this: "Now we're at the base - but don't underestimate it!" The exercise works without any problems.

The second exercise is a bit more difficult for the Weilheimer: In the crossover he has to balance the ball on his feet and then cross one leg over the ball.

But here too: no problem for football professionals!

Jannik rates the second level as passed and Müller is "very satisfied", as he enthusiastically announces.

Müller has to give up on the third freestyle trick

The third trick, however, has it all.

Müller is amazed: "Now it's getting interesting, now we need air space." Jannik demonstrates how he rolls the football off his neck, turns and then kicks the ball between his legs.

At this sight, the respect of the Bayern player grows: "It was nice!

I'll try it now, it must look good - it doesn't have to work."

Jannik Freestyle is happy about the commitment of his training partner: "Thomas pulls through - he gives everything today!" Nevertheless, the last trick does not work for Müller even after several attempts.

But he already has a solution to the problem ready: "I'll talk to Julian Nagelsmann and see if we can incorporate that into team training." The fans on Instagram are certainly enthusiastic and comment: "Another really great video!" And "Super become funny thanks for always making me laugh @esmuellert you are just the best!!"
