"Novak Djokovic and Israel - a love story".
In Serbia they enthusiastically reported the victory last night (Thursday) of the legendary tennis player 0:6, 3:6 over Pablo Andohar, in his first appearance at the ATP tournament in Tel Aviv.
Djokovic, the biggest name to come to Israel to participate in the tournament, actually played in Israel for the first time since 1999, when he was just starting out in the industry - and gave a show to thousands in the stands.
He won the first set in only 29 minutes without losing a single game, and completed the job in the second set which was slightly more challenging.
At the end, Djokovic thanked the Israeli crowd, saying that "there was a fantastic atmosphere. I loved the court, I loved the atmosphere, the crowd was very loud and full of passion. I'm happy to be here and play in front of you."
He was not here for 23 years, and now he receives the "respect of kings".

Djokovic receives warm and special treatment in Israel: he was received with adoration by the crowd, showed gentlemen when he gave speeches in honor of Yoni Ehrlich's retirement (with whom he was supposed to play in the doubles tournament, until the latter was injured) and enjoyed VIP treatment even in his free time.
In Serbia they wrote yesterday that "Djokovic receives the honor of kings in Israel", and were proud of the conditions to which he is entitled, including accommodation in a presidential suite at the Royal Beach Hotel in Tel Aviv.
"Nola displayed fantastic ability, and forgot the fact that he had not participated in a competitive game for almost three months. This happened thanks to the push of the Israeli audience, with whom he seems to have a special connection," wrote one of the websites in Serbia.
In the quarter-finals, the Serbian will meet the Canadian Vasque Pospisil, who knocked out Idan there.
