Big fight days for the wrestlers of AC Penzberg

Big performance for the Penzberg wrestling offspring: On Sunday, after a three-year break, the “Alpenland Tournament” and “Ladies Cup” will take place again.
The youngsters of the athletes' club are among the more than 300 starters.

There is plenty of wrestling at the weekend in Penzberg: on Saturday the men's team will compete in a state league home match, on Sunday hundreds of young people will be in action.
Penzberg – There's something going on with the AC Penzberg wrestlers this weekend.
The men will contest their first home match in the state league on Saturday, October 1st. The next day, on Sunday, October 2nd, the youngsters will be in action in a traditional competition.
In 2020 and 2021, the pandemic, or more precisely the resulting restrictions, meant that the athletes' club's traditional "Alpenland Tournament" could not take place.
Now it's that time again, the 43rd edition of the junior tournament for B, C, E and F youths is coming up.
The fourth edition of the "Ladies Cup" (students, youth, women) will take place at the same time.
Wrestling is in freestyle, the fight time is 2 x 2 minutes.

A total of over 300 entries from Germany, Austria and Switzerland were received for both tournaments.
"We are completely satisfied with that," said the athletes' club.
The organizers would also be happy about spectators.
It starts at 9 a.m. in the municipal gym at the former wave pool.
The Penzberger junior wrestlers recently achieved remarkable results.
Johannes Fischer (B-Youth/38 kilos) qualified for the DM for the first time and finished ninth there.
The youngsters Johanna Reigl (fifth) and Lena Forstner (fourth) also convinced in the junior championship.

The men's team will have their first home fight in the state league on Saturday.
Opponent in the municipal gym at the former wave pool (7:30 p.m.) is TSV Westendorf II. The start, away against TSC Mering, was lost at 12:31.
In front of a home crowd, the AC, which, unlike many other clubs, consistently relies on homegrown talent, wants to score the first points.
The AC student team wrestles in the district league, but is free of a fight this weekend.
