The Syrian expatriate player Anas Kamal Jarbou achieved the first place and the gold medal in individual combat in the 29th World Traditional Karate Championship currently being held in the Czech Republic.
The Secretary of the Martial Arts Federation, Zuhair Hallaq, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that achieving the first place and the gold medal in the World Championship is an important achievement for Syrian sports in general, and for traditional karate in particular, pointing out that the Federation is working hard to expand the base of the game in various clubs.
It is noteworthy that the player Jarbou obtained the approval of the Game Federation and the General Sports Federation to represent Syria in the World Championship, which will continue until the second of next month.
