SpVgg Mauern starts against TSV Au in the "brutal October"

The SpVgg Mauern is now having a hard time after flying high at the beginning of the season.

A series of tricky tasks begins with the game against Au.

On the other hand, a win against the Hallertauers in the home game on Sunday at 3 p.m. would certainly give coach Georg Pfuller's team a boost.

"In the game on Sunday we have to show more presence.

We have a few top players, but like in Freising, you can hardly see them.

The leading players have to do better so that the young kickers can get up on it," says the coach.

This is currently working quite well in Au after difficulties at the start of the season.

Last week, coach Sepp Summerer gave special praise to 21-year-old Noah Ziegltrum, who put in a top performance against Vatanspor player-coach Deniz Sari.

The district league relegated could not really shine against the bottom of the table.

But with patience and an unconditional will to win, the green-whites got the upper hand as the game went on and scored through their two goal scorers on duty, Alex Schwarz and Dominic Schermbach, for a deserved 2-0 win.

The striker duo has so far spread fear and terror among the district class defenders with a total of 17 goals in eight games.

After four victories in a row, the Hallertauers are now in third place.

A concentrated performance is needed again against Mauern, demands a confident Summerer: "Mauern is a climber and initially had the euphoria and momentum to make a top start.
