Fortuna Düsseldorf stays on top: After the clear 4:1 against Arminia Bielefeld, the club is in fourth place in the table. A good first half against Rostock was not enough for Kiel to win. Fürth and Sandhausen drew.

In the early Saturday games of the 2nd Bundesliga, Fortuna Düsseldorf prevailed 4:1 (1:1) in a duel with Arminia Bielefeld and thus keeps up with the promotion places.

Holstein Kiel conceded the equalizer against Hansa Rostock in the 88th minute to make it 1-1 (1-0).

In an unspectacular game, Greuther Fürth and SV Sandhausen separated 1:1 (0:1).

Düsseldorf dominated the game from the start and, with 70 percent possession and 7-0 corners, Shinta Appelkamp made it 1-0 (21st minute).

The midfielder scored with his outside instep after a cross from the left.

A penalty kick brought Bielefeld back into play: Düsseldorf goalkeeper Florian Kastenmeier suspected the corner, but Robin Hack converted into the bottom right corner (34th).

With the first chance of the second half, Düsseldorf took the lead again through Ao Tanaka from five meters (47th).

Arminia was lucky when Felix Klaus hit the post from 20 meters (57th).

After a hacking pass, Appelkamp made everything clear with his second goal to make it 3:1 via lob (66th).

Bielefeld played well for an hour, then broke defensively and Tim Oberdorf made it clear after a corner with a header into the right corner to make it 4-1 (76th).

After three Kiel defeats in a row, Hansa Rostock, who were weak away from home, proved to be an opponent for the »Storks« to build up.

The game started with few chances, then Kiel increased the pressure.

When Rostock's Nico Neidthart took the ball with his arm in the penalty area, the hosts were awarded a penalty, which Fabian Reese converted to make it 1-0 on the bottom right (28').

After the break, Hansa won the game, but Kiel was able to clear two Rostock equalization chances (47th, 49th).

Kiel's defense wobbled: first Kiel goalkeeper Thomas Dähne saved after a brief back pass against Nils Fröling, a little later the keeper shot Lee Dong-gyeong in his own penalty area, and the ball went just over the goal from the joker's head.

Rostock rewarded itself late.

Lee fired sharply in front of the goal on the left edge of the penalty area, where Lukas Hinterseer kicked the ball past Dähne into the left corner with his left shin on the second post (88').

In a tough game, Sandhausen used a mistake from Fürth to take the lead.

Max Christiansen didn't hit the ball properly after a throw-in, David Kinsombi intervened and immediately passed the ball to Alexander Esswein, who scored from nine meters (12').

Fürth got stronger towards the end of the first half, but failed twice from a promising position at Sandhausen goalkeeper Patrick Drewes (35', 37').

Shortly after the break, Simon Asta's cross found Julian Green, who was lurking at the second post, and who equalized with a header (48').
