The deadlines were met and Karim Benzema will be back this Sunday against Osasuna (9:00 p.m., Dazn).

The Frenchman was injured a month ago half an hour after the Champions League debut against Celtic in Glasgow -in the semitendinous muscle plus an overload in the quadriceps of his right leg- and against the Navarrese team he will be the game, as he said This Saturday Carlo Ancelotti at a press conference.

"He has recovered and has put energy into his legs," said the Italian coach.

His fall in Scotland introduced Madrid to one of its most disturbing gorges: surviving the absence of the 34-year-old striker.

However, this time he came out of the mess more than graceful.

The whites' winning streak continued (full in the nine games of the course) and, in the three and a half games that he was absent (he did not attend the concentration with France either), it was the youngsters who fixed the mess.

Of the 11 goals scored in this period, seven were made -directly or indirectly- by the new players in the locker room: Vinicius scored two goals and two assists;

Rodrygo, two goals, an assist and a direct participation in another (he let it go under his legs before Valverde's 1-0 against Leipzig);

and Valverde, three goals and an assist.

The first solution was Eden Hazard, a substitute for the Frenchman at Celtic Park, and the night made the Belgian happy (he scored a goal at an empty goal and assisted Modric in another), but it was not long before he fell back.

His poor performance five days later at home against Mallorca acting as

false nine

and Rodrygo's good display in that location in the second half confirmed the change of hierarchies that is now imposed in the Valdebebas booth.

Benzema returns against Osasuna, but Luka Modric and Lucas Vázquez will not be present.

The Croatian, who returned from his national team with an overload at hip height, will try to reach Shakhtar next Wednesday and, if he does not succeed, Ancelotti hopes to have him against Getafe, in a week.

The midfielder played the 90 minutes of the two League of Nations duels against Denmark and Austria.

For his part, the Galician, with a muscle problem in his right leg, should also return to the group after Osasuna.

"I don't call selectors"

After the last selection window before the Qatar World Cup, Carlo Ancelotti assured that there will now be rotations to distribute the calendar load that awaits all the teams that play in Europe: 12 appointments, one every three days.

"We are at a very important moment of the season," warned the Italian.

Then, after the World Cup (it takes place from November 20 to December 18), all the locker rooms will have to manage the unprecedented circumstance of resuming the competition after a commitment of these dimensions.

About it, the white coach already has some idea: “Afterwards we don't know what's going to happen.

We are thinking about how to handle the players that go.

They may not play again until mid-January [La Liga returns December 30-31;

Madrid, in Zorrilla] and we have to do it with those who stay.

We must also take into account that there will be players who will go to the World Cup and will not play, but they will need rest.

At least 10 days”, explained Carletto.

And regarding Qatar's countdown, the Whites' coach was asked if, just as Xavi Hernández had revealed, he had telephoned the coaches to take care of their players.

“Every time I have spoken with them it is because they have called me to ask about the condition of the players.

And that's it.

During the period of the selections, I am not going to call them”, settled Ancelotti.
