Premier League: Liverpool still hooked against Brighton after a crazy match

2022-10-01T16:42:38.593Z

The Reds conceded a draw against Brighton at Anfield this Saturday (3-3) and are treading water in the Premier League

When it does not want, it does not want.

While leading the score seven minutes from the end of the game, the Reds were hooked by the surprise Brighton, led by a great Leandro Trossard, (3-3) at home during the 9th day of the Premier League.

This new poor performance hurts a Liverpool formation which is 11 points behind Arsenal in the standings and seven points behind Manchester City, who have one game less.

Everything had started very badly for the men of Jürgen Klopp.

Dominated and not as sovereign as last season, the Reds quickly conceded the first goal of the match on a fine movement from Leandro Trossard, who played off Trent Alexander-Arnold before adjusting Alisson (4th).

On fire, the Belgian worsened the score after a great collective action a few minutes later (17th).

Joy then the cold shower

The finalists of the last Champions League then went through all the emotions.

Led 2-0, they turned things around thanks to a double from Roberto Firmino (33rd, 54th), before taking the advantage in scoring for the first time in the match on a CSC from the unfortunate Adam Webster (63rd).

3 - Leandro Trossard has become just the third opposing player to score a Premier League hat-trick at Anfield, after Peter Ndlovu and Andrey Arshavin.

But Liverpool, overtaken by their old demons, finally experienced a short-lived joy, because of the equalizer from Leandro Trossard, who took advantage of an error of judgment from Virgil van Dijk, at the very end of the match (83rd ).

The Belgian also became the first player to score a hat-trick at Anfield since Andrey Arshavin in 2009.
