Bitter pill for VfB Stuttgart: The Swabians lost 2:3 (2:2) in the basement duel on matchday 8 of the Bundesliga at VfL Wolfsburg.

This gripping duel on Saturday afternoon doesn't have much of a basement duel.

It's a good performance from both teams.

However, VfB will be annoyed about the sleepiness after the 1-0 lead, after which they immediately conceded the equalizer from ex-Stuttgart Marmoush.

The blunder of keeper Müller, which Mavropanos made forgotten with his goal shortly before the half-time whistle, should have hurt in a similar way.

It will be interesting to see what the second round has to offer.

The shot is actually far too central and misplaced, but VfB keeper Florian Müller punches the ball into his own goal to make it 2-1 for Wolfsburg.

Coach Matarazzo already announced on Thursday (September 29) that Borna Sosa is at risk of being out due to a cold.

As reported by the picture, the Croatian was absent from training on Friday (September 30) and will not be available for the Wolves in Stuttgart.

Wolfsburg/Stuttgart – VfB Stuttgart is under pressure before the match at VfL Wolfsburg.

After seven Bundesliga games, the Swabians are still waiting for their first win of the season and are therefore under pressure.

A mental strain that VfB coach Pellegrino Matarazzo is aware of.

That's why he wants to focus on the defensive against the wolves, because that doesn't require self-confidence.
