The ninth round in the Premier League opened today (Saturday) with a top battle in the London derby when Arsenal hosted Tottenham in an attempt to maintain the top of the table.
The Roosters have won just twice in their last 37 away games against Arsenal in the league, in 1993 and 2010 - and were hoping to do so again, thus equaling their longest streak in the Premier League - 14 league games without defeat, but succumbed to their hated rivals, who continue to impress for a loss against Manchester United.
In the 20th minute, Arsenal took the lead with a great goal.
Thomas Partey received a pass from Ben White and with one touch unleashed a bomb from outside the box straight into the connections of Hugo Lloris.
11 minutes later Tottenham equalized 1:1.
Richarlison took advantage of a mistake in the Arsenal defense, tried to get past the Arsenal defense and was thwarted by Gabriel.
Harry Kane kicked into the middle, subdued Ramsdale and became the first in the history of the English league with 100 away goals.
In the 49th minute Arsenal regained the lead again with the 1:2.
Hugo Lloris deflected a ball kicked to him by Bukayo Saka in a very bad way, the ball went under his hands and Gabriel Jesus pushed from close range.
In the 62nd minute Emerson left Tottenham with 10 men after stepping heavily on Gabriel Martinelli's ankle and referee Anthony Taylor drew a straight red.
