Novak Djokovic closed a dream week for him this evening (Sunday) at the Watergen Tel Aviv tournament, when he defeated Marin Cilic 3:6, 4:6 and again won great love from the crowd.
"Hello, how are you, thank you," Djokovic said in Hebrew after receiving the trophy.
"Congratulations to Marin for an excellent week, he is a fantastic player and a good friend. We have known each other for many years and I hope we get to fight the young guys for a few more years. I want to thank my team, every title I win belongs to them too, thank you for still believing in me. I want to thank you, it was one of my most special weeks in recent times. I felt so at home here, with all the support from everyone. It was fantastic."
One of the best tennis players of all time was very dominant - only once during this tournament, was a break possible against him, en route to his 89th career title.
"It's great to see so many young people, so many kids, a full stadium every game," he added.
"Israel showed great respect and a great passion for tennis, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are great. I want to thank the organizers of the tournament, I hope this is not the last time I will play against you here in Israel."

The loser, Marin Cilic, concluded by saying: "It was a great week, well done to Novak for another excellent tournament. And of course, thanks to all the organizers, it was a fantastic week, I enjoyed every moment, the crowd was amazing, one of the best I've seen, every day A full stadium. A pleasure. I hope to see you next year as well."
