Clermont won against Ajaccio this Sunday during the 9th day of Ligue 1 and goes back to 9th place in the standings.

Four matches took place this Sunday afternoon for the 3 p.m. multiplex.

Clermont and Toulouse won respectively against Ajaccio and Montpellier, while Reims was hooked in the last moments by Troyes.

Here is the report of the meetings of this Sunday.

The fact of the day: match interrupted in Toulouse

The Occitanie derby between Toulouse and Montpellier gave rise to several incidents.

At the start of the second half, the match was briefly interrupted following the use of tear gas by the security forces in the stand reserved for the away supporters.

“We are at home” then chanted the Hérault supporters to dynamite this shock.

On the lawn, Branco van den Boomen's teammates, reduced to 10 per hour of play (60th) following the expulsion of Desler, largely won (4-2) thanks to goals from Spierings (18th) , Aboukhlal (24th), Chaïbi (31st) and Dejaegere (48th).

Cozza (7th) and Wahi (68th) scored for Montpellier.

The Toulousains go back to 12th place in the standings.

The good operation of the day: Clermont gives itself some air

In this match for the maintenance, Clermont gave itself some air, by winning in Ajaccio (1-3) and is now in the first part of the classification, in 9th place.

The Auvergnats quickly opened the scoring through Kyei, on a cross from Gastien (11th).

They then conceded the equalizer on a strike from the right foot of Avinel (69th).

Pascal Gastien's men then overturned the match with two goals at the very end of the match from Rashani (89th) and Dossou (90th +1).

With this rather hard defeat given the face of the match, Ajaccio is bogged down in the bottom of the classification by remaining stuck in last place with 4 points.

The hitch of the day: Reims definitely can't do it

Author of a complicated start to the season, with in particular many players expelled, the Rémois were hooked in the last moments of the meeting by Troyes (2-2) at the Stade de l'Aube.

However, everything had started well for them.

Oscar Garcia's men scored on their first opportunity thanks to Folarin Balogun's sixth goal on a good serve from Junya Ito (13th).

After the Trojan equalizer from Odobert (51st), the Japanese turned into a savior, scoring the second goal from Reims on a cross from Alexis Flips (54th).

Then Ito was sent off on the hour mark for a high tackle on Jackson Porozo's right knee (56').

Less conquering, the Rémois were joined in the score in additional time by this same Porozo on a cross from the right side of Andreas Bruus (90th + 2).

With this draw, Reims remains 17th in the standings.

The return of the day: Auxerre believed in it until the end

Yet reduced to 10 after the red card of Julian Jeanvier (52nd), the men of Jean-Marc Furlan, who had conceded the opener on a nice number from Islam Slimani (64th), finally managed to snatch the match draw at Abbé Deschamps against Brest (1-1).

On a penalty obtained by Jubal, M'Baye Niang concretized the efforts of Auxerre by scoring his first goal of the season in Ligue 1 (86th).

This draw does not help either team, even if AJA, defeated in its last four games, goes back to 15th place.
