Dortmund – The cup embarrassment of TSV 1860 against FV Illertissen came unexpectedly.

After the international break, we continue in the 3rd division against BVB II - the lions are the clear favorites there.

“We have to deliver again in Dortmund.

That's the most important thing, we have to get it done.

The league is our core business!” said coach Michael Köllner ahead of the second-placed team's away game at Borussia Dortmund II on Saturday (2:00 p.m.).

"Our defensive game didn't look good and we didn't score up front despite great chances.

If we don't do our things well, then we'll have a hard time against a regional league team," said Köllner on Thursday. 

At least you got out of the game without injury.

“That would have been the worst case scenario if someone had been injured.

Now it's about finding the best line-up against Dortmund.

It will be different than against Illertissen," said the Löwen coach.

Bayern are tied for second in the table with leaders SV Elversberg after nine games. 

TSV 1860: Top talent Morgalla extends his contract in the long term

After the cup exit, there was good news for the lions again: defensive talent Leandro Morgalla extended his contract long-term.

The club did not announce the exact contract period, but the media assume that the cooperation will be extended until 2026.

"I'm happy to be able to continue on this path," said Morgalla.

With the new contract, the lions ensure a transfer fee of millions in the event of a departure.

The junior national player is missing in the game against Dortmund for the first time this season in the sixty squad.

He sustained a hip flexor injury.
