At the age of 40, Thibaut Petit wanted to discover a new world.
This Belgian coach, on the benches since 1998 and passed through France or Switzerland, flew to Russia in the summer of 2021. He signed for two seasons at Dynamo Kursk, and joined a city of more than 400,000 inhabitants , located 150 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
Despite the current situation, the native of Liège insisted on respecting his contract until the end.

How long have you been in Russia?
Thibaut Petit:
“I arrived in the summer of 2021. This is my second season here.
I came for a two-year project.
In January 2022, the project was confirmed for a second year.
Everything changed last February.
Unfortunately, what happened happened.
Today, I am under contract and I have to do the best possible for my group which is extraordinary.
I'm only focused on my work, with the championship starting in a week.
I live day by day.
