A 36-year-old runner who was competing in the London Marathon on Sunday died after collapsing during the race, organizers announced on Monday.
The runner from the south-east of England, whose name has not been released by the organisers, collapsed after the 23 mile mark.

Although he received immediate medical treatment and an ambulance arrived on the scene within three minutes, he later died in hospital.
The family have asked for privacy and no further details will be released in accordance with their wishes.
The cause of death will be established later by medical examination,
” organizers said in a statement picked up by Reuters.
