Jamal Musiala is an integral part of FC Bayern and the national team.

Marco Neppe reports what his impressions were during scouting.

Munich – Jamal Musiala delighted FC Bayern and the Bundesliga: The young offensive man also shone in the 4-0 win against Leverkusen and was ennobled by those involved and experts.

He also played well in the national team in the 3-3 win in England, so that Three Lions coach Gareth Southgate was once again very annoyed that Musiala was playing for Germany and not for the British.

But at the age of 16, Musiala, who was born in Stuttgart, came from Chelsea to Bayern Munich.

The current technical director and then chief scout Marco Neppe reported on how the successful scouting went.

As early as 2018, FC Bayern became aware of the then 16-year-old Musiala as part of a national tournament in Paris, as revealed by Neppe

Two players stood out from the crowd back then: Musiala and Jude Bellingham, who is now causing a stir in Dortmund.

Together they stood on the field for England's U16.

Neppe: “Jamal showed skills back then that he is now showing in the Bundesliga.

He impressed with his incredible feel for the ball.

You could see his enjoyment of the game in almost every action he took.

That was just good.

It was a pleasure to watch him play football.”

Musiala's statements "didn't leave Marco Neppe alone"

Bayern wasted no time: "We immediately agreed that we would do everything we could to bring him to Bayern.

I had a very interesting meeting in London, was able to get to know his family and also had conversations with him himself.”

Musiala, who often takes over what is happening on the pitch, was rather reserved in the interview - but was still convincing.

"Jamal wasn't very talkative, actually, but his statements were so clear and so concise that on the flight back to Munich at least one or two statements would not leave me in peace.

That was formative and spoke for him and his ambitions.

It gave me a good feeling about how he ticks and what ambitious path he wants to take.”

According to transfermarkt.de, he is now worth 80 million euros.
