FC Penzberg won their home game against TSV Neuried 3-1.

A player who had become a father during the week set decisive accents.

Penzberg – Marco Hiry did not want to let Uros Puskas (88th) be replaced without comment.

"Man of the match," the injured FCP player shouted from the outside, while his team-mate walked off the artificial turf to applause.

Puskas' appearance for FC Penzberg in the 3-1 home win in the district league against TSV Neuried was indeed special - in more than one way.

The sporting aspect looked like this: In the first half, the Croatian had given Penzberger a 1-0 lead (38th).

This was preceded by a further diagonal pass from Sepp Siegert, which Puskas accepted and then completed.

Until then, the hosts had only had a few offensive actions.

An exception was Gabriel Taffertshofer's ball, which was obviously intended as a cross and hit the crossbar (33').

Uros Puskas: First goalscorer, then assist

Back to Puskas: In the second half, when the game had become more exciting after Neurieder's goal (76th), he made the decision.

Denny Krämer used his strong preparatory work for a full shot, which made it 3:1 (85 th ).

On top of that, Puskas' appearance had a special private note: the 28-year-old had become a father during the week.

However, he had postponed the trip to the mother and child, who were staying in the Balkans, in order to support the FCP, which was battered by personnel (Maximilian Panholzer also dropped out at short notice).

"We all wished him a game like that," said FCP coach Simon Ollert.

The coach was "overall satisfied" with the performance.

Ollert stated that the players had already shown the cleverness they had been reminded of.

Neuried, most recently with four defeats in five games, proved to be an opponent who did not let FCP develop.

"We had to bring a lot of patience with us," says Ollert.

The goals came at a good time for Penzberg: the 1-0 just before the break, the 2-0 (58th) right into a Neurieder urge phase, including a crossbar hit by the guests (50th).

Following a Siegert free-kick, Fazlican Verep switched fastest in the crowded penalty area – and amidst a collective shout of “hands” – and scored from a tight angle.

After that, Verep was the focus again.

When he fouled the referee was about to show him red for emergency braking.

After consultation with the assistant, he left the yellow card, but Neuried was awarded a penalty, which the guests used to make it 1:2 (76th).

Ollert was happy not to have lost a player because of a sending off.

"A good decision," he said to the referee.

The exciting minutes that followed were bearable – especially since Puskas came up trumps again.
