Addition to stock?

That's not clear yet.

However, the council has already spoken out in favor of the site at the old school building in Eichenried as the location for the children's home.

The municipality of Moosinning would like to build a new children's home.

Moosinning - In the municipal council meeting, it was discussed whether it should be built at the former schoolhouse in Eichenried or at a separate location in the municipal area.

Six groups, i.e. a little more than 120 children, are to be accommodated in the new house.

Manager Silvia Hermansdorfer first listed the space requirements and compared the costs.

A new building on the old school building would cost around 4.5 million euros.

The construction costs would be around 4.3 million euros, plus around 200,000 euros for demolition and a good 50,000 euros for a new roof covering.

A new building on a separate piece of land, which would also have to be purchased first, would be more expensive.

Here Hermansdorfer estimates around 7.7 million euros.

If you calculate the building plot at the old school building, which the municipality could sell for around 2.2 million euros, a new building would cost around 5.3 million euros, explained the manager.

"Are there any areas in the municipality that are suitable for this?" asked Josef Romir (SPD).

He estimated the “time horizon” for a new building to be around ten years.

"Of course it could go faster, but for that we would need someone who sells a property," Hermansdorfer noted.

Manfred Lex was clearly in favor of a new building.

Around 46 percent of the area on the former school building is old stock.

"Old heating, old pipes, bad insulation - the old building isn't worth much anymore," criticized the CSU local council.

"The bill is good, but I think the effort is greater." He sees that the time factor is a problem.

"But quality is more important." Anneliese Ways agreed with Lex and brought up the property on Neuchinger Strasse, where the fire station now stands.

Christian Nagler (BB) also saw the problem of time pressure.

However, he thinks the current situation is “great”.

The money for new insulation is there.

"It would be nice to build something outside, but we don't have any land," he emphasized.

Richard Döllel said that the old teacher's house "has to go anyway".

You can put insulation on it at any time.

"The location is great," said the SPD municipal council.

"If we then need a kindergarten again, then we should build it on the outskirts of Moosinning or Eichenried.

Who knows whether the places won't grow together at some point anyway."

Sabine Stangl (BE) sees it as a "step backwards" when looking for a new piece of land when you already have an existing building.

"Then we would be where we were a year ago." And Lex warned: "It doesn't matter whether the kindergarten is in Moosinning or Eichenried: we need the best solution."

Mayor Georg Nagler (SPD) recalled when the Eichenried school had been closed.

"That was the right decision, now we have a unit at the school in Moosinning." He would also like to see such a unit at the children's home.

There are nice spaces here.

"We could expand here."

Romir saw it that way and gave the current situation on the real estate market to consider.

"In the current situation, I as the municipality of Moosinning would not sell a square meter of land." Consequently, on the other hand, he sees the problem of "finding someone who sells something".

A lot of money was put into the old school building – and a renovated building.

"Why shouldn't the children's home be left here?" asked Hermansdorfer.

This was contradicted by Lex, who sees the building as "not so good".

For Sebastian Weinzierl (SPD/independent), the matter was clear: “We cannot choose the plots.

If we need a kindergarten in the short term, it can only come down to the existing building.” Andreas Eschbaumer (CSU) agreed and said: “The need is there.”

With two dissenting votes from Lex and Ways, the local council finally decided to build the new children's home on the site of the former school building in Eichenried or to build on the existing structure.

The former teachers' residence is to be demolished and a replacement building erected.

A competition based on the so-called VGV procedure is to be launched soon, which will be accompanied by the planning association.

Offices from all over Europe can submit their offers.

"Three to five offices from the pool of applicants are asked to submit designs," explained Hermansdorfer.

"These are presented to the municipal council, which then decides on the winner."
