The Supreme Court of the Football Association decided to hold a hearing on the petition filed against the summoning of Omar Azili to the Israel national team.
The hearing will take place on October 19 at 10:00 am.
The petition was recently submitted by several women's organizations in Israel, demanding the cancellation of the decision to summon Atzili following the affair of the footballers and minors in which he was involved.
According to the petition, submitted by lawyers Uri Kider, Avi Blum, Uri Kahana and Nadav Benasseig from the Nevo Kider Blum office specializing in gender sports law, "the association's decision to return Atzili to the Israeli national team, at a time so close to the serious acts and the revelation of the correspondence that reveals the truth in particular, It is not reasonable and even illegal, since the association acted in violation of the team's code of ethics and in violation of the regulations that require an investigation procedure by the ethics committee before deciding whether Atzili is suitable to represent Israel in the national team uniform."

As part of the petition, the women's lobby, the Union of Aid Centers for Victims and Victims of Sexual Assault, and the "Building an Alternative" group joined together, demanding that the court cancel the participation of Omar Azili in the upcoming game against the Albanian national team and freeze his summons to the Israeli national team until a hearing is held before the ethics committee of the association that will examine his suitability to represent Israel in the national team's uniform as required by section 14 of the national team's code of ethics.
The petition also claims that the decision to call Atzili to the Israel National Team contradicts the normative requirement that the Football Association set for its players in the Israel National Team Regulations, which states (in Section 4 of the Code of Ethics) that: "A national team player must be aware of the fact that he is a role model, especially for teenagers and young players and Being a representative of the country and its sports life. Therefore, a national team player must maintain the representative status of the national team and a behavior befitting his status as a national team player, in any period in which he will be appointed to the national team's roster."
