After just three minutes, the Geretsrieder Landesliga kickers in Eggenfelden had to run after a deficit once again.

Although they stabilized over the course of the game, they ended up with their fifth away defeat.

Eggenfelden/Geretsried – Only three minutes had been played on Saturday in the Landesliga game between SSV Eggenfelden and TuS Geretsried when Daniel Dittmann had to take a deep breath for the first time.

"It's hard to bear - for us coaches as well as for the players," said the TuS coach, commenting on his team's almost hopeless mission at the time, which was already 2-0 down.

The 22-year-old admitted that he couldn't look so quickly that Eggenfeld's opening goal simply swept past him in the second minute.

But he noticed exactly how shortly afterwards goalkeeper Sebastian Untch and Lukas Kellner played into the opponent's cards again.

"That was stupid, the wrong decision by both of them," the coach complained about the unfortunate situation, as a result of which Eggenfelden quickly conquered the ball and increased it to 2-0 in the third minute through Goran Sujic.

That was the end of the first round for the guests from Upper Bavaria, who "appeared completely unsettled" afterwards, as Dittmann found out.

Because goalkeeper Untch saved twice more in dire need, "we can be glad that we didn't concede more goals in the first half", the coach admitted that his team was "still well served" with the 0:2.

The TuS coach rated the performance of his eleven in the first half as a "very bleak performance, the worst performance since I've been training the team".

After a loud speech from the dressing room (“that was an emotional outburst”) and a tactical change, Dittmann registered that his kickers subsequently showed “more security” and created “extremely many situations around the pits”.

"We were much more focused there," said the coach.

Which finally resulted in Fabijan Podunavac's goal to make it 1:2.

"It was a beautifully combined relay," said Dittmann, pleased about Benedikt Buchner's pass to Srdan Ivkovic, who passed the ball to Podunavac at the end.

A few minutes later, the goalscorer missed the equalizer that could have turned the game in his team's favour.

A standard finally made the decision: Daniel Kerscher headed a free-kick cross from near the corner flag to make it 3-1 for the hosts.

"Then the mass was read," stated Dittmann.

Nevertheless, he didn't want to let the result - Jakob Reichhoff increased it to 4:1 shortly before the end - take away his desire to visit the Wiesn.

"Of course, the mood can't be good after four defeats in a row," said the young TuS coach.

“But I'm an optimist by nature.

That's why I'm positive about the future and I'm looking forward to the next few weeks."
