However, a cost cap review by the World Motor Sport Association FIA confirmed the suspicion that Red Bull had spent more.

At the Singapore GP it said: “The FIA ​​is currently completing the evaluation of the financial data submitted by all Formula 1 teams for 2021.” A point deduction would therefore only be conceivable in the case of major violations.

Verstappen was eight points ahead of Lewis Hamilton at the end of the season.
