Sad news was announced on Tuesday by the French rugby federation.
The former international player of the XV of France Aïda Ba died of complications from breast cancer at the age of 39.
With Les Bleues, she participated in the 2007 and 2011 Six Nations Tournaments. She was also one of the emblematic players of AC Bobigny 93. The former third center line had participated in the various climbs of the Seine-Saint club -Denis to the Top 10 (semi-finals in 2010 and 2011).
The Balbynian club paid him a vibrant tribute on Facebook.
🖤 Aïda Ba, our former international from #XVdeFrance, unfortunately left us following breast cancer.
😢 Our thoughts are with his loved ones and family.
🎀 In this month of #OctobreRose, we are also thinking of all the victims of this terrible disease.

“Our heart is bleeding, red and black, the colors of that shirt you wore so much.
This jersey that you wore so high on the pitch, in France and around the world, that you made several generations want to follow you.
She was an exemplary captain, the whole team followed her, even at the end of the world.
Like a pack leader, she knew how to lead her troops during the 80 minutes of combat, until victory.
Aïda you are and will forever be in our hearts but also a strength for all those who wear and will wear this jersey.
