The French Rugby Federation announced on Tuesday the death of former international Aïda Ba at the age of 39, following breast cancer.
She had notably participated in the 2007 Six Nations Tournament.
“In this month of Pink October, we are also thinking of all the victims of this terrible disease”
, also underlines the FFR.
“Our heart is bleeding, red and black, the colors of that shirt you wore so much. This jersey that you wore so high on the pitch, in France and around the world, that you made several generations want to follow you,
posted on Facebook her former club, AC Bobigny 93.
She was a captain exemplary, the whole team followed her, even at the end of the world.
Like a pack leader, she knew how to lead her troops during the 80 minutes of combat, until victory.
