Spanish tennis player Jomi Munnar qualified today for the second round of the Tokyo Open tennis tournament in the 500-point category.
Munnar succeeded in qualifying after defeating his Norwegian rival Casper Ruud, ranked third in the world, in two sets without a response, with a score of 6-3, 6-3 in a match that lasted one hour and 36 minutes.
Munnar, 25, will meet in the next round with his compatriot Pedro Martinez, who defeated Australian Alexei Popyrin in two sets without a response, with a score of 7-5, 6-4.
