The pressure is showing its signs on the Lakers - already in the first game of the season.
The purple-yellows went up tonight (between Monday and Tuesday) for their first game in the preseason, and found out pretty quickly that the optimistic statements from the stars still have no cover, and that they are still not at the level they expected to be.
It ended in a 105:75 defeat to Sacramento, and raucous boos from the fans at Crypto Arena.
LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook started together in the five alongside Kris Dunn and Damian Jones, managed to keep the Lakers close in the first half but did not prevent a breakup in the second half, which the Kings won 29:64.
Davis did finish with a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds in 16 minutes, but LeBron James did not make a field goal in his 16 minutes (0 of 7) and finished with only 4 points.
Westbarko settled for 5, with 3 assists.
Keegan Murray led the Kings with 16 points.

Brooklyn enjoyed the debut of Ben Simmons tonight, who played for the first time since forcing Philadelphia to trade him.
The forward, who suffered from physical and mental problems in the months since then, finished with 6 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds in 19 minutes, and showed a pinch of his versatile abilities, which did not prevent the Nets from losing 127:108 to Philadelphia.
"I felt amazing. I thought I would go into the game with tense feelings, but it didn't happen," Simmons said at the end.
