Summary: Inter - Roma 2:1 (Sport1)
Barcelona is in real danger of not qualifying for the round of 16 of the Champions League.
The Catalans lost last night (Tuesday) 1:0 to Inter at San Siro, and are now three points away from the Nerazzurri and six from Bayern Munich, the first in group three.
The meaning: another loss of points against Inter when these two teams meet again next week, may cause Xavi and his players to see the knockout stage away from home.
At the end, Barcelona was very angry, and the anger was directed towards the refereeing team.
In the 66th minute, Pedri rolled in what should have been the equalizing goal, but a VAR check determined that the ball had hit Ansu Fati's hand earlier in the game.
Then, in added time, Denzel Dumfries seemed to touch his hand in the box, but again the referee was assisted by VAR, and again chose to go with Inter.
"I am angry at the injustice we have seen," said Xavi.
"I said it a few days ago and I'll say it again: the referees must come and explain themselves, because I don't understand anything anymore. The referee didn't want to explain to me what happened after the game. They must talk. I can't talk about a decision I didn't make - For me, it was clear as day. I just don't understand."
The coach added: "I'm just exploding with rage, I don't understand anything anymore. If Anso accidentally touches the hand and someone scores, they disallow the goal. And on the other side... it's simply unfair. But we also have to look at ourselves, Not only about the referees, and we have to play better. However, it's clear that we deserved at least a draw. We're in a difficult situation now, we have three games left and they're all like finals."
