To encourage sports and athletes, the Ministry of Interior today honored the players of the Police Sports Club team, who obtained distinguished results in the Arab Judo Championship for the men’s category with “sambo and kwarsh”.
During its participation in the tournament that was held in Lebanon last June, the Police Sports Club team won seven medals, "five gold and two silver."
The Minister of Interior, Major General Muhammad al-Rahmoun, indicated that the ministry pays great attention and provides all support to the athletes of the Internal Security Forces to encourage them to continue training and achieve the best results.
Minister Rahmoun praised the team's efforts and the sporting achievements of the men of the Internal Security Forces, stressing the need to make more efforts to continue winning championships.
The honoring included the players Mounir Ghosn, who won two gold medals in the “Kwarsh” and “Sambo” games, Muhammad Khanji, the gold medalist in the “Karish” game, Muhannad Sham, who won two gold medals in the “Karish and Sambo” games, and Muhammad Imran Ajna, who won two medals. Two silvers in the “Karish and Sambo” games.
