Borussia Dortmund is threatened with the loss of several regulars in the classic game against FC Bayern.
Especially with Marco Reus it will be a race against time.
Munich/Dortmund – It's that time again on Saturday evening: In the Bundesliga, the German classic between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern is coming up (from 6.30 p.m., here in the live ticker).
Curious: Neither of the two industry giants is leading the table this time.
The guests from the Isar metropolis (15 points) are in third place before the 9th match day, BVB is fourth (15), while Union Berlin (17) surprisingly greets from the top, followed by SC Freiburg (17).
Bundesliga: BVB and FC Bayern in top form ahead of the classics
This increases the explosiveness before the renewed showdown between the two German football giants.
Both teams also presented themselves in excellent form during the week in the Champions League: Bayern won 5-0 (3-0) against Czech champions Viktoria Pilsen.
Borussia Dortmund won impressively 4-1 (3-0) away from FC Sevilla.
It was Westphalia's biggest win in the premier class in six years (6-0 against Legia Warsaw).

But the West Germans are plagued by serious injury concerns before the hit.
Four regular players could be missing against Munich.
Time is running out, there are only 66 hours between the two games.
“We were not only caught by a wave of injuries, but also by a wave of colds.
We had to do without nine players today, but still winning here is not a matter of course for us,” said coach Edin Terzic after the win in Andalusia, Spain.
Borussia Dortmund: Regeneration after Seville and before Bayern
On Sky he announced late in the evening: "We will go to the hotel immediately and try to regenerate as quickly as possible.
We hope that one or the other will come back, but we have to look from day to day.” Specifically, world champion and defense chief Mats Hummels (cold), BVB captain Marco Reus (ligament injury in the ankle) and winger Marius Wolf (circulatory problems) were missing.
They didn't even travel to Seville, while the number one, the Swiss goalie Gregor Kobel, was waiting in vain for his comeback after surviving a torn muscle fiber and was sitting on the bench.

Striking: Dortmund made a real secret on Thursday (October 6) about how the respective players were doing.
For example, whether Hummels and Wolf could train fully loaded again.
Or how far Reus' rehabilitation is, while at least keeper Kobel is considered ready for action.
The club did not report anything about the other players in the current preliminary report on the FCB game, nor on the otherwise highly frequented social media accounts.

Instead, the club posted a photo of Salih Özcan regenerating in an ice barrel at the team hotel in Seville.
First Psycho Tricks?
Time is running out, this is especially true for the 33-year-old key player Reus.
From Säbener Strasse in Munich, people are also looking intently at the Rheinlanddamm towards Dortmund, where the Borussia club grounds are located on the edge of the Brackel district.
