The eighth round of the National League was played today (Friday) in its entirety, and although we won quite a few goals, the main story of today's games is not related to football, but to racism.
During Maccabi Jaffa's victory over Bnei Yehuda 0:1 (Gal Levy, 49), the Orange fans crossed the line when they started growling at Jaffa's black player John Ugo, and the game was on the verge of an explosion.
First Ugo approached the Bnei Yehuda fans, along with one of his teammates, and when the two returned to the field they each received a yellow card.
In response, the Jaffa players left the field and after many minutes were convinced to return.
The game is over, Jaffa won, but the football association will have to find a way to punish Bnei Yehuda and its audience.
