The opening round of the Euroleague continues today (Friday) with four games, with the focus of the "Israeli derby" in which Tamir Blatt starred and led Alba Berlin, where Yuval Sussman also plays, to an easy victory over Partizan Belgrade of Yam Medar.
The one who opened the evening was the European champion Anadolu Efes who, as expected, defeated the Red Star 59:72.
Barcelona will open the season with a tough home game against Olympiakos.

Anadolu Efes - Red Star Belgrade 59:72
The holder of the Euroleague for the last two years already managed to win the Turkish Super Cup this season, thanks to a victory over Fenerbahce last week, when in the local league it opened with a victory over Galatasaray.
The injured Shane Larkin didn't play, but Clyburn played and how and together with the wonderful Micic, Zizic and the rest of the stars, the European champions opened fire in the second half en route to an easy victory.
Michic sealed the escape in the third quarter and finished the game with 16 points and 6 assists.
Will Clyburn, who joined this summer from CSKA Moscow, led the way with 19 for the winners and Boba contributed 10 with Ante Zizic settling for just 6. Ben Bentil scored 13 for Red Star, who were missing several key players including Nemanja Nadovic, newly signed from Panathinaikos.

Alba Berlin - Partizan Belgrade 84:100
Zeljko Oberdovic's team returned to the top factory on the continent after a nine-year absence and received a cold welcome from Elba Berlin, which was helped by the excellent ability of Tamir Blat and Yuval Sussman to easily beat Partizan, where Yam Madar experienced a rather traumatic debut with a minute and Only 47 seconds he received from his Serbian coach.
Elba went into this game like a cannon and finished it already in the first quarter which ended at 18:33 (!) completely one-sided.
The star of this game was none other than Tamir Blatt, who had four three-pointers from eight attempts that put him at 16 points (a career record in the Euroleague) to which he also added 4 assists.
Yuval Sussman was less dominant with 5 points, but the balanced Alba did not have a hard time against the Serbs who had a particularly dismal debut.
Dante Axum, the player who came to Partizan from Barcelona in the summer, contributed 20 points which were far from enough.

Barcelona - Olympiakos (21:30)
In the last two years, the Catalans failed in the task of winning the Euroleague, an achievement they were considered leading candidates to register, and this season Barça begins with the expectations of it - internally and externally - touching the sky.
This is partly due to the signings of Tomasz Storanski, Jan Vesli and Nikola Kalinic, who came to the team of Sharonas Jasikvicius to finally meet the goal: lifting the cup.
Nikola Mirotic is indeed injured and will not return soon, but Mike Tobi, who was brought in to cover his lack, and Oscar de Silva, who also arrived in the summer (from Elba Berlin), should also lead the Blaugrana to success.
Olympiakos, who lost to Barcelona in the match for third place last May, kept the skeleton and added four interesting reinforcements: Isiah Kanan who starred in Kazan, Alec Peters from Baskonia, Joel Bolomboi who was released from CSKA and Tarik Black, former Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Virtus Bologna is back.

Virtus Bologna - Monaco (21:30)
Another returning empire that is returning to the Euroleague this year, the one from Italy who earned the ticket by winning the Eurocup this year, will host whoever won the Eurocup last year.
Unfortunately for Virtus, its most prominent reinforcement in the summer - Toko Shanglia - will not be available due to the injury he suffered during the preparations for Eurobasket.
Two notable additions who will make their EuroLeague debuts for Bologna are Efe Lundberg, who returned to Europe after a foray into the NBA, and Jordan Mickey, who most recently played for Zenit St. Petersburg.
Of course, the Italians will also present veteran stars such as Milos Theodosic, Marco Belinelli and Daniel Hackett.
On the other hand, the team from the principalities hopes to repeat this season the qualification for the playoffs that it registered in its debut season in the Euroleague, and for this purpose it signed quite a few senior players in the summer: Jordan Lloyd arrived from Zenit, Eli Okobo from Villerban, Jaron Blossomgeim (ex Nahariya) from Ulm, John Brown from Kazan and Adrian Muerma from Anadolu.
