The successful campaign in the Nations League guaranteed the Israeli national team a second chance to reach Euro 2024 through the playoffs, but also promoted them to the second tier for the qualifying draw that will be held tomorrow (Sunday, 1:00 p.m., Sport1) in Frankfurt.

There are 10 teams in each tier, except for the sixth and last tier where the three weakest are found.

The 53 national teams will be divided into 10 houses: seven of them will consist of five participants (among them the houses of the semi-finals of the Nations League) and the remaining three houses will have six teams.

The first two from each group automatically qualify for the Euros, and if Israel is not among them, it will move to the playoffs to be held in March 2024, where the last three tickets will be distributed.

The first names to be drawn will be from Tier A, so as soon as Israel's ticket is drawn, we will already know who is the strongest team in the house.

In any case, the promotion to tier B prevents meetings with empires like France and England, with a strong team like Serbia and also with the miserable Scotland.

The draw can lighten the face, for example with a house that will include Hungary, Armenia, the Faroe Islands and Gibraltar, with whom it is mandatory to talk about direct qualification to the first ever Euro, without the need for a playoff.

On the other hand, it is possible to have a house with Spain, Norway, Turkey and Slovakia where even the fifth place would not be surprising.

Even in that case, we emphasize again, the place in the playoffs is guaranteed.

Israel can finish without a point or a goal, and will still be two tickets away from the Euros.

And maybe it will be a completely new home, with national teams that we have never met in all the qualifying tournaments since joining UEFA? For example, the Netherlands from the first tier, Ukraine (or Norway) from the third tier, Kosovo from the fourth tier and Belarus from the fifth tier.
