Munich – FC Bayern can make it into the knockout stages of the Champions League on Wednesday.
But before the duel against Viktoria Pilsen, trainer Julian Nagelsmann's personnel worries increase.
Only 17 players took part in the bus trip to the Czech Republic on Tuesday afternoon.
Shocking moment in Bayern training: Neuer falls out with a bruised shoulder joint
In addition to the national soccer player Jamal Musiala, who was infected with Corona, Matthijs de Ligt (muscular problems in the hip), Alphonso Davies (bruised skull) and Serge Gnabry (capsule injury in the knee) were missing from the final training session in Munich.
Manuel Neuer was also injured in the final training session on Säbener Straße.
The Bayern captain suffered a bruise on the shoulder joint and is therefore staying in Munich as a precaution.
The quartet will be canceled for the group game on Wednesday (9 p.m. / DAZN), the German record champions announced before leaving for Pilsen with several team buses.
In addition to Musiala, Lucas Hernández and Bouna Sarr, who have been injured for a long time, are also missing.
The squad published by the club included only 15 field players and two goalkeepers.
Return to corona infection: Müller in the squad for the Champions League duel against Pilsen
Coach Julian Nagelsmann will have to make some changes in the Doosan Arena compared to the 2-2 win against Borussia Dortmund in the top Bundesliga game.
Sven Ulreich will be in goal, having prepared intensively for his second appearance of the season in training.
After all, Thomas Müller is back after his corona infection.
The 33-year-old attacker was in a good mood on the training ground.
For the record champions, the Bundesliga home game next Sunday against second-placed SC Freiburg, which is two points better, is the more important game this week.
That's why the 36-year-old national goalkeeper Neuer can certainly be rested.
In the premier class, on the other hand, Bayern could already solve the round of 16 ticket in Pilsen after the ideal result of three victories.
With nine points, they are clearly leading Group C ahead of Matchday 4 ahead of Inter Milan (six points), FC Barcelona (three) and bottom-placed Pilsen with no points.
Bayern won the first leg against the Czech champions 5-0 in Munich a week ago.
