"My star, my heart, my soul": Husband writes emotional message to Olympic champion Herrmann-Wick

Biathlon Olympic champion Denise Herrmann is now called Hermann-Wick.

Now her husband has written an ode to the athlete.

Ruhpolding - It has been Denise Herrmann-Wick's year so far.

The biathlete, who at the time appeared at the Olympic Games in Beijing with a simple surname, won gold in the individual.

In September of the same year, she said yes to her boyfriend and married him.

Because of Thomas Wick, the last name of the biathlete has now changed.

Winter athlete Hermann-Wick has also published a book about it.

In the course of the book publication (“Truly Safe – My long run to the top in biathlon”), her husband Thomas wrote an ode to his wife and posted it on Instagram.

"My star.

My heart my soul.

I love this woman.

Of course I do, she's my wife!", the husband begins on his account and continues: "But I'm not the only one who admires her.

Many people admire her and they are not married or related to her.

They love her honesty, her sense of humor, her passion for food, her sense of adventure.”

Wick is full of pride and describes in great detail the positive qualities of his sweetheart, who celebrated her bachelorette party in Ruhpolding.

“Many admire her ambition, her way of skiing and her sporting success!

She inspires young athletes.

She inspires me.

She's a woman to write a book about or with!” he elaborates.

He knows few people who would work so hard for their success and at the same time are proof of their down-to-earthness and determination.

A nod to the title of the book.

Wick elaborates on the content of the book and draws a conclusion: “Guys, I'm honestly intrigued by this book.

Denise carefully selects people she lets look so deeply.

The book is an invitation to get to know Denise Herrmann as a person in a new way – namely as she really is: approachable, down-to-earth, meticulous and with a big heart.”

It doesn't get any less sappy in the comment column, because of course the biathlete thanks her for it: "Thank you for your beautiful and touching words.

You give me security and stability in my life.

The former biathlete and good friend of the couple Maren Hammerschmidt also thinks they are "beautiful words".
