SSC Napoli once again showed a strong performance on Wednesday evening and defeated Ajax Amsterdam 4: 2 (2: 0).
This means that the Serie A leaders are in the last 16 of the Champions League after four wins from four games.
Ajax are currently third in Group A with three points.
Second-placed Liverpool (6) and bottom-placed Glasgow Rangers (0) meet in the evening.
In the other game early on Wednesday night, Brugge drew 0-0 at Atlético Madrid and now have every chance of progressing to the next round.
The Belgians comfortably lead Group B with ten points.
Atlético in second has only four points.
Behind them lurk with three points each Leverkusen and Porto, who meet in the evening.
As in the 6-1 win in the first leg, SSC Napoli gave Ajax Amsterdam no chance in the second leg either.
Napoli took the lead after just four minutes.
Hirving Lozano and Piotr Zieliński combined and Zieliński chipped the ball into the box and Lozano headed in.
Napoli played quickly and without frills, Ajax repeatedly had problems with the high pace of the Italians.
This was also the case with the 2-0, when Napoli quickly came forward again and attacker Giacomo Raspadori scored from around 15 meters (26th minute).
Ajax then fought their way into the game, but were rarely dangerous at first.
Shortly after the restart, the goal was scored.
Ex-Bremer Davy Klaassen was there after a cross and made it 1:2 with a header (49th).
Napoli then started the game a little too casually before referee Felix Zwayer awarded the Italians a controversial hand penalty, which playmaker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia safely converted (62').
Ajax got the goal back (83') through Steven Bergwijn, who converted a penalty kick, but Victor Osimhen made it all clear with his goal to make it 4-2 in the 90th minute.
He benefited from a serious mistake by Ajax veteran Daley Blind.
Both teams played boldly forwards, over time Atlético Madrid became more and more dangerous, but missed the 1-0.
Shortly before half-time, referee Danny Mekkelie decided on a penalty for Bruges.
Brugge's Tajon Buchanan had previously fallen after a duel with Nahuel Molina.
Atlético coach Diego Dimeone raged on the sidelines.
Mekkelie looked at the pictures again – and correctly revised his decision.
Buchanan hit defender Molina in the foot, fouling the striker instead of a penalty.
Atlético then made the game, especially Antoine Griezmann had several promising opportunities.
But the Belgians always remained dangerous.
In the end, Brugge defended the point outnumbered after Kamal Sowah had to leave the field with a yellow card (82').
