"After almost seven years, it's time for a change," Rudolf Müller-Brunnhuber announced in his last speech as chairman of TSV St. Wolfgang at the beginning of the annual general meeting.

St. Wolfgang – Because new elections were due and he gave up his position at the top of the association.

The sports club has managed a number of projects in the past year.

"A lot has happened and we've implemented a lot," he began in his last annual report.

He particularly emphasized the tennis wall, in which the little ones as well as young people and adults were involved.

He also made volunteering the main topic of his speech.

This allows “own ideas and interests to be realized” and it strengthens the sense of community.

His focus has always been on ensuring that the sports club is broadly based.

"Even small departments have a place with us." He was particularly proud of the departments that integrate refugees and welcome them into their community.

BLSV district chairman Martin Weber also took up the topics of volunteering and integration.

"Integration takes place in the clubs - that's club work." And some TSV members have been doing this work for over 60 years.

Helmut Czech, Franz Eder, Martin Eiglsperger, Karl Fietz, Georg Loidl, Franz Miksch and Georg Renner received an award for this.

Siegfried Holzer has been loyal to the sports club for three quarters of a century.

Treasurer Franz Hinterwimmer was pleased in his cash report: "We are debt-free." Although there was still a lot of income due to a lack of events, the club was able to buy new sports equipment at any time, for example.

With an LED floodlight system and a PV system, they want to "get the costs for electricity and heating oil under control" in the future, because they are almost 10,000 euros per year - and the trend is rising.

The tennis wall cost the club over 40,000 euros, but about half of that came from donations.

The investment was worth it, as the report from the tennis department showed.

Many young players have gained the division.

The football year also went well, said department head Bernhard Deuschl.

The highlight was referee Wolfgang Haslberger's promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga.

Department head Johann Schwimmer reported several successes for the stick shooters: They had become champions three times.

The wrestlers and taekwondo were less busy, because it was difficult to do these sports due to the corona.

The ski department had a particularly difficult time, as division manager Albert Stadler reported.

He tried to mobilize the group again, but regretted the lack of interest.

The opposite trend was seen among volleyball players, where the number of coaches and teams is increasing.

According to section manager Heinz Westenberger, the youth mixed team is even fighting for the German championship this year.

"The future needs change," said the outgoing chairman at the beginning of the new elections.

On February 28, 2016, Müller-Brunnhuber joined the sports club and was directly elected chairman.

With this office "I found my way into the community".

Now he passed it on to younger hands.

Albert Föstl was elected as the new chairman, with Thomas Linner and now Rosi Obermeier standing by his side as deputies.

Franz Hinterwimmer is still in charge of the cash register, and secretary Evi Rott was also re-elected.

Tanja Brandlhuber remains active as the women's representative, Lukas Loidl and Tobias Alsters share the youth representation.

In the wrestling department, Rene Schöder replaced his predecessor and current chairman Föstl.

There was a surprise in the ski department.

Albert Stadler stopped after more than 20 years.

Tobias Westenberger spontaneously agreed to take over the position.

He used to be a ski racer in Dorfen, but stopped studying civil engineering.

Now he wants to "revive the hobby in St. Wolfgang" with this position.

The other department heads remained the same: Anton Schwimmer (carnival), Simon Döllel (gymnastics), Heinz Westenberger (volleyball), Thomas Alsters (tennis), Helmut Brandl (table tennis), Richard Staab (taekwondo) and Johann Schwimmer (curling).

Until the end of the season, Deuschl will temporarily take over the football department, and Theresa Herzog will temporarily lead the dancing division until a successor is found.

Finally, the newly elected chairman Föstl presented the projects he would like to tackle during his term of office.

His goals are to close the gaps in personnel and to stabilize the range of sports.

With the LED floodlight system and a PV system, he is planning big steps towards saving electricity and sustainability.

A special topic will also be the celebration of the 90th anniversary of TSV St. Wolfgang in 2024.
