Frenchwoman Julia Tolofua won the bronze medal at the World Judo Championships in the over 78 kg category on Wednesday in Tashkent.
Tolofua, 25, beat Israeli Raz Hershko, recent European vice-champion, on penalties in the repechage final.
The Frenchwoman, who managed to regroup after her lost semi-final against her compatriot Romane Dicko, thus won her first medal in an international championship.
