The "Maccabi Fanatics" fan organization announced today (Wednesday) that it is boycotting Maccabi Tel Aviv's upcoming away game against Bnei Sakhnin this coming Saturday, this after the opponent announced that the purchase of tickets for the game will be made through its ticket office and not through scoring, as is customary until today.
The organization's announcement reads: "After the city's second nemush tried to stop a derby and failed, now another nemush has arisen with a new tarla - you will not be allowed to purchase most of the tickets for the stand, unless you purchase through our ticket office and without the scoring system.
"We are nobody's puppets, and we certainly won't allow any Maccabi fan with enough points to stay at home due to self-interested considerations. Those with the highest scores are entitled to purchase - and rightfully so. We will not allow the Sakhnin ticket office to offend the hardest core of Maccabi fans in order to make us Cup! As long as they play this game on the backs of Maccabi fans - they will get an empty stand on Saturday."
