Australia created a small sensation by dominating the Netherlands in the final to win the men's team sprint event at the World Track Cycling Championships on Wednesday evening in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.
On the track of the 2024 Olympics, the Australians made a very strong impression by depriving the Dutch, undisputed masters of the sprint in recent years, of a fifth consecutive world title.
Great Britain got the better of Germany in the bronze medal game.
