Last night (Tuesday) Maccabi Haifa registered one of the biggest victories in its history when it beat Juventus 0:2 in the Champions League.
The president of the club, Jacob Shahar, could not ignore the great moment and wrote a handwritten letter in which he described his feelings in a very exciting moment for him, perhaps one of the most exciting since he purchased it in the early 90's.
"On the morning after the wonderful show at Sami Ofer, I feel obliged to thank everyone who took part in the happy event," Shahar wrote and added: "Let's start with the coaching staff and the players who made and implemented the game plan impeccably. I will continue with the club employees who worked hard to organize such an event with a very high score from UEFA representatives And I'll end with a compliment to our devoted fans for the impressive show before, during and after the game."

The green owner also added: "You supported the players non-stop and proved that it is possible to do this in a matter-of-fact and sporting manner. The game, the victory and the surrounding setting added a lot of respect to our club and Israeli football and the club captains gave us a lot of energy to continue. Well done and thank you all."
