The security authorities in France have not yet approved the sale of tickets to Maccabi Haifa fans for the match against Paris Saint-Germain on October 25, which at this stage is delaying the opening of official ticket sales for the competition within the Champions League.

The authorities have received intelligence information about pro-Palestinian demonstrations and organizations that are expected to hit the area and are now considering whether to approve the arrival of a foreign audience, with one of the options that came up being an amount of less than five percent to be allocated to Haifa fans.

It should be noted that thousands of green fans have already purchased plane tickets to France, but subject to the decision of the security authorities in Paris, the number of tickets allocated to the Israeli champion may be extremely small.

According to the social networks, it seems that many fans have already purchased tickets for the stands of Saint-Germain - according to estimates, over 1,000 greens have already done so.

Haifa is constantly working to obtain approval for at least five percent of the stadium's contents, as UEFA reserves for the home teams in the Champions League matches.

"Maccabi Haifa has been holding talks with Paris Saint-Germain and the law authorities in France in recent weeks regarding the sale of tickets to the group's away fans," the club said today (Thursday).

"Due to the uncertainty and the delay in the beginning of the sale that occurred with the host club and the authorities, Maccabi Haifa sent an urgent letter to UEFA to demand its intervention in the issue.

The club also contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israeli Embassy in Paris in order to request assistance on the matter.

We assure you that the club is doing everything in its power to provide the agreed amount of tickets, approximately 5% of the stadium's contents, and will not hesitate to reach the highest levels in UEFA and Israel so that the greatest possible number of fans can accompany us in this game."
