A clash between Versailles and Red Star in the Coupe de France, the last part of Racing in Colombes… Your football weekend in Ile-de-France

2022-10-14T09:48:49.071Z

In the Paris region, it's not just PSG in Ligue 1 and Paris FC in Ligue 2. There are also some great matches in the divisions

Like last season, Le Parisien invites you to take a tour of the football program in Île-de-France.

The weekend will be marked by the 6th round of the Coupe de France with in particular Versailles - Red Star, Poissy Sainte-Geneviève, Ivry - Fleury as the main posters and the return of the Women's D1.

There will also be one N2 and three N3 matches.

The poster for the weekend: a National duel between Red Star and Versailles

It is the shock of this 6th round of the Coupe de France.

The two residents of National, Versailles and the Red Star face off this Sunday.

It will be a question of regional supremacy between the new rich Versailles and the historic Red Star.

The Coupe de France also has a special flavor for Youssef Chibhi's team, which proved to be in the eyes of the whole of France thanks to its semi-final last season.

The two teams are not in the same dynamic.

The Red Star, which has won only one of its last six league games, must be reassured as Versailles, winner of Le Mans on Wednesday (2-1) is back on the podium (3rd).

Small curiosity, if Versailles is the home club, he could not play at the Jean-Bouin stadium in Paris where he plays his league matches or at home in Montbauron.

The match will therefore take place on neutral ground at the Michel-Hidalgo stadium in Saint-Gratien.

🎙 “We didn't exist in the first half on the offensive level, on the other hand we played in the second, but 45 minutes in National is not enough.

» @BeyeHabib returned to the match against FBBP01 in a post-match press conference.

The question: how will the players of Paris 13 Atletico react after the dismissal of Jean Guy Wallemme?

As we revealed on our site on Thursday, Jean-Guy Wallemme and Sébastien Robert will not be on the bench for Paris 13 Atletico 16th in National, Sunday at VGA Saint-Maur (R1).

The coach and his assistant were laid off by their management.

“We give ourselves 3-4 days of reflection to analyze it properly,” explains President Frédéric Pereira.

It is the general manager and former coach of the team, Namori Keita who will ensure the interim.

It remains to be seen how the group will react to these changes.

Several players had signed at the club for Wallemme and Robert.

But in this fairly dense workforce, some were necessarily victims of the coach's choices and will therefore find an opportunity to relaunch with the new staff.

Player to watch: Fabien Lemoine (Versailles)

Arrived a month ago in Versailles, Fabien Lemoine, the experienced 35-year-old midfielder, past Rennes, Saint-Étienne and Lorient (337 Ligue 1 matches, 89 in Ligue 2 and 30 in the European Cup) already well acclimatized to his new life in National.

Wednesday against Le Mans (2-1) in the league, he was very valuable in the middle.

“He brings on and off the pitch.

He is a calm and balanced boy.

He does not speak to say nothing.

He inspires some players and his presence reassures on the field.

It is positive and beneficial.

We are happy to have him with us and we hope that the National is happy to have a player like that, ”explained Versailles coach Youssef Chibhi on Wednesday after the success against Le Mans.

The sentence: "This is the kind of draw we would have liked to have had a little later in this competition"

Facing the Mée (N3), the VGA Saint-Maur (R2) had achieved one of the feats of the 5th round last Sunday.

The team coached by Nordine Henni will go up a notch with the arrival of Paris 13 Atletico, 16th in National.

“It's the kind of draw we would have liked to have a little later in this competition.

Afterwards, we have nothing to lose, we know that we are capable of anything, especially in this competition where this group has already experienced several exploits in previous seasons.

We have just released Le Mée with the novelty of having played a full match.

The victory was on the whole logical.

What is happening at the Gobelins (Editor's note: Wallemme laid off) does not change anything for us.

It remains a team built for the National with an 11 that moves a lot.

A victory would be a feat for us but for them,

the match is not so easy to prepare.

Victory is mandatory for them, even if their priority remains their championship where they are in a delicate situation.

This will be the only National 2 match that will take place this weekend in the Paris region due to the Coupe de France.
