The Israeli surfer outdid herself and finished the last day of sailing in eighth place overall • The fickle weather at the weekend put quite a few competitors at risk

The last day of sailing in the Kate Foyle World Championship came today (Saturday), with Gal Zuckerman's progress, which put her in the semi-final stage of the competition at the last minute.

The last few days in the championship were among the stormiest in recent years, with volatile weather that even put some of the competitors at risk, when a sudden storm entered the competition site yesterday, in the middle of the races.

The difficult conditions certainly affected some of the Israelis, but Zuckerman went into the day's sailing in 15th place, aiming to enter the top ten.

Four incredible cruises, which she finished in the top six, brought her up to eighth place overall, which leaves her with the hope of competing for a medal.

Tomorrow Zuckerman will participate in the semi-finals of the competition, when she has to win three races in order to reach the final.

Zohar Harubi, who was placed 11th at the entrance to the Golden House, was unable to maintain his fitness and finished the competition in 20th place.

Mia Ashkenazi was injured yesterday, did not participate today in the Golden House cruises and finished in 25th place.
