After a few difficult years, Rot-Weiss Klettham is doing well this season in the district class.

One has a crucial part in it.

Klettham – After ten games, the team is at the top of the table with 24 points.

In addition, the Erdinger club has by far the best offensive in the league: the team of new coach Florian Leininger has already scored a proud 43 goals in ten games.

Striker Tobias Paulus, who has already scored 19 goals and thus scores almost twice per game on average, stands out.

"Tobi is an outstanding footballer," says Klettham's football department head Patrick Tischer.

The strong start to the season is having an effect: "When you have a run like Tobi's, it makes a lot of things easier.

There were also some dream goals that don't usually go in.” Paulus also benefits from his strong offensive colleagues Thomas Greckl (9 goals), Christoph Greckl (5 goals) and Attila Lanzendorfen (3).

The RW department head also praises the new coach Florian Leininger, who started work in the summer.

"After a series of defeats at the start of last season, we got the curve under Ernst Wiesmüller and then took our time looking for a coach for the next season," emphasizes Tischer.

"The new coach is a young and hungry coach who improved us tactically and made the team fit in preparation."

The game against Finsing 2 remains unique – despite the 3:4 defeat.

Paulus managed a flawless hat trick from 0:3 to 3:3 within five minutes.

"I've never experienced anything like this before, and it probably won't happen again," says Tischer.

Paulus himself says: "That was definitely something extraordinary." The defeat was particularly bitter for him personally because shortly after the third goal he even had the chance to lead 4:3 and just missed.

The Kletthamer then conceded the 3:4 with seven minutes to go.

The placement this season comes as a surprise to many of the competitors in the league and also to Paulus himself: "Sometimes we ask ourselves why things are going so well this year.

The squad hasn't really changed much." But the 26-year-old full-blooded striker also cites the coaching staff as a reason for the success: "Flo Leininger has brought a breath of fresh air, and there's a great atmosphere in the team, which of course it is in a series like this keeps getting better.”

The striker also has a number of personal plans ahead of the new season.

"I have made football even more of a priority," emphasizes Paulus.

Among other things, he refrained from taking vacations during this time and tried to take every training session with him: "The effort made is now reflected on the pitch."

Tischer does not want to set an exact target for the rest of the season.

Paulus, who has been playing for Klettham since he was six despite multiple offers from other clubs, is more aggressive: "You really don't want to give up a championship lead anymore."
