Almost nine months have passed since the arrest of Mason Greenwood, Manchester United striker, following videos and photos published by his partner, according to which Vance assaulted her.
Since then the footballer has not returned to the fields and now he has been arrested once again on the suspicion that he contacted his victim and thus violated the terms of his bail.
According to "The Sun", police officers raided Greenwood's home in Manchester this morning and took him in for questioning following the violation of bail conditions, which were extended by the Manchester and Salford Magistrate's Court in June.
The police statement read: "Greater Manchester Police are aware of an allegation regarding a 21-year-old man who breached his bail conditions, and an arrest was made on Saturday 15 October 2022. Inquiries are ongoing at this stage."
After the first arrest, Greenwood was held for three days at the police station and questioned on suspicion of threatening to kill his partner, in addition to allegations of rape and physical harm.
He was released on February 2 and since then his bail conditions have been extended twice.
The Red Devils then waived Greenwood and suspended him following the arrest, but are still paying his £75,000-a-week wages, despite not having played football since January 22.
Greenwood, 21, is regarded as one of English football's biggest talents and made his debut In the uniform of Manchester United when he was 17 and a half years old. He managed to score 35 goals in all formats in his four years as a senior player, with the record season being 2019/20, in which he scored 10 league goals and 17 in all formats.
