Finances of FC Bayern: Munich CFO teases against international competition

Dreesen, who is stepping down as CFO after ten years, assured the members present in the Audi Dome: “This year will also be a very positive one.

Our European competition doesn't have anything like that for a long time.” The boss teased the said competition about the Bavarian finances.

Manchester United managed to lose more than 130 million euros, he said.

In turn, Juventus managed to double the loss every year, he said: "It's a difficult model, but our colleagues in Italy always come up with something new."

Real Madrid was at least above the line, "taking FC Barcelona as an example" was "too easy," said Dreesen about the heavily indebted Spanish giants: "I could have shown them the other Englishmen too.

Each of them has lost at least once in the past three years.”

FC Bayern: Dreesen sees a disadvantage in the Bundesliga in TV marketing

In his speech, Dreesen criticized a "strategic disadvantage in the TV marketing" of the Bundesliga.

FC Bayern received a total of 88.8 million euros in the 2021/22 financial year, around 20 million euros less than in the year before last.

For comparison: "The bottom of the Premier League, Norwich City, received 160.5 million euros and the first, Manchester City, 177 million euros," said the Munich CFO.

The fact that Bayern could assert themselves internationally is all the more remarkable.
