The Monfils clan is growing.
The couple, formed by the Ukrainian player Elina Svitolina and the Frenchman Gaël Monfils, announced that they were expecting a happy event last May.
This occurred on the night of Friday to Saturday with the birth of a little girl: Skaï Monfils.
Both parents were quick to share the news on their social media with a photo of their index finger touching the baby's tiny hand.
" What a night !!!
Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for a warm welcome to Skaï Monfils.
I cannot thank my husband enough for sharing this unforgettable moment with me,” the mother said on her Twitter account.
I had the most amazing night of my life, which ended with the most beautiful gift around 6:00Am.

For his part, Gaël Monfils spoke of “the most incredible night of his life which ended with the most beautiful gift around 6 am.
“Elina was strong and brave and I cannot thank my wife and God enough for this special moment.
Welcome to the world my little princess SKAÏ”, he added.
Married since July 2021
If they have been dating for several years during the various tennis tournaments, the French player and the Ukrainian player only formalized their relationship in 2019 before separating for a few months at the beginning of 2021. A break that had therefore was short-lived since the couple had finally announced in April that they were going to get married during the summer.
The year 2022 will have been trying for the couple when the conflict in Ukraine particularly affected Elina Svitolina who donated her earnings to the army of her country when she was still playing.
"It's not easy to see my in-laws suffer," said Gaël Monfils.
It was hard to watch my wife cry every night.
I try to support her, to carry her.
I am there for her, for her family.
I will do anything for them.
The Frenchman had also been sidelined for several months since May due to a right heel injury.
