The veteran center, a graduate of the prestigious Stanford University College, began his career outside the United States in the Hapoel Tel Aviv uniform in the 2013/14 season.
He later had a rich career in Europe and played in Greece, Italy, Turkey and France, among others.
He returned to Israel to play for Hapoel Jerusalem and another term for Hapoel Tel Aviv last season.
Evans, who will celebrate his 34th birthday next month, felt exhausted from his career, and decided to move on to the next chapter of his life.
The center holds a degree in economics from Stanford, and is expected to start working in the profession.
