FC Barcelona has to admit defeat in the Spanish Clásico Real Madrid.

Robert Lewandowski demands a penalty but doesn't get it.

At the end it will be exciting again.

Munich/Madrid – It's not going well for Robert Lewandowski and FC Barcelona: after the Champions League exit was almost sealed after just four match days, the Catalans now also lost the Spanish Clásico at Real Madrid 1: 3 (0: 2 ) lost.

Only in the final phase did the top team from the Mediterranean coast defend themselves – too late.

Goalscorer Karim Benzema (12th minute), Fede Valverde (35th) and Rodrygo (90th + 2) with a penalty kick shot the "Royal" to the prestigious victory in La Liga.

The Madrilenians were lucky after 74 minutes when former Munich player Lewandowski went down in the Real penalty area.

The Pole crossed in front of Daniel Carvajal, who roughly bumped into the 34-year-old goalgetter.

However, referee José Maria Sanchez Martinez did not award a penalty in this scene in front of 62,876 spectators at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.

Ansu Fati missed the connection with a powerful shot (78th) before Ferran Torres gave the Blaugrana hope again.

But in stoppage time Eric Garcia clearly fouled substitute Brazilian Rodrygo.

The fouled himself started from the point and converted the penalty flat on the bottom right.

The German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen had guessed the corner, but couldn't get the ball.
