Chess dominator Magnus Carlsen lost to 16-year-old Indian Donnarumma Gukesh in the »Aimchess Rapid«.
Gukesh is the youngest player to defeat the Norwegian chess icon as world champion.
"Winning against Magnus is always special, but I wasn't very proud of my game today," said Gukesh.
Carlsen had already lost to 19-year-old Arjun Erigaisi (India) on Saturday.
The "Aimchess Rapid" is the eighth of nine tournaments of the "Meltwater Champions Chess Tour 2022", which is endowed with 1.6 million dollars.
Carlsen is currently in first place on the tour.
Most recently, the dispute between Carlsen and the American Hans Niemann caused a stir in the chess world.
Carlsen has been accusing Niemann of fraud for a long time and formulated this suspicion in detail for the first time at the end of September.
The Norwegian had previously met Niemann in the middle of the month in a top-class online tournament and ended the game after a move without comment.
The feud began in early September.
Carlsen had withdrawn from a face-to-face tournament after losing to the American – he had never done that in his career.
The chess platform chess.com now accuses Niemann of large-scale fraud.
It is not yet clear what consequences the Americans have to fear.
